The Oklahoma City Thunder has signed forward Mamadi Diakite to a 10-day contract.
 
Diakite (6-9, 218) has appeared in eight games for the Thunder this season and averaged 3.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in 11.6 minutes per game.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will be out until after the All-Star break due to a sprained right ankle. Gilgeous-Alexander was injured during the Thunder's overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers on Friday.

Last season, Gilgeous-Alexander missed considerable time with plantar fasciitis. This year, he's been mostly healthy and was receiving consideration for an All-Star nod.

In 43 appearances, Gilgeous-Alexander has averaged 22.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 34.6 minutes per game. Next season, Gilgeous-Alexander will begin a five-year, $172.5 million maximum contract extension.

Mike Muscala has been a valuable reserve for the rebuilding Oklahoma City Thunder this season. And he's done so while managing a painful right ankle injury.

Muscala revealed that he has a stress fracture above his right ankle. The center said he might have to have surgery to address the injury this summer.

Despite the injury, Muscala has shot a career-best 43% on three-pointers this season. Thunder coach Mark Daigneault praised Muscala's approach to games and practices, despite an often-limited role. “He loves practice,” Daigneault said. “He loves going full-tilt … Him having to balance that with what’s best for him physically has been a challenge for him.”

Diakite (6-9, 218) appeared in two preseason games for the Thunder this season and averaged 4.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.00 block in 12.2 minutes per game. He appeared in 14 games (one start) last season with the Bucks and averaged 3.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per contest.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed Olivier Sarr to a 10-Day contract. This is the second 10-Day deal for Sarr with the Thunder.

The seven-foot center played in two games with Oklahoma City on his first 10-Day deal. Sarr has averaged 7.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game for the Oklahoma City Blue of the G League this season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have acquired Miye Oni and a 2028 second round pick from the Utah Jazz. Oni was on a partially guaranteed deal. 

The Thunder will waive Oni and open up a roster spot. Oklahoma City will waive Gabriel Deck to create a roster spot.

The Jazz will save money in terms of salary and luxury tax while also opening a roster spot. 

Josh Giddey and Franz Wagner have been named the NBA's Rookies of the Month for December.

Giddey averaged 11.8 points, 7.1 rebounds and 6.7 assists for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Giddey also won the award for November. 

Wagner averaged 19.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists for the Orlando Magic.
