Lakers, Grizzlies, Blazers, Magic Interested In Signing Chandler Parsons

Jun 30, 2016 8:51 PM

The Memphis Grizzlies will pursue Chandler Parsons in free agency while also attempting to re-sign Mike Conley. The Los Angeles Lakers are also interested in Parsons, as are the Orlando Magic.

Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports the Portland Trail Blazers will also meet with Parsons. Portland will meet with Parsons in Los Angeles on July 1st with Damian Lillard in attendance.

Parsons is seeking a max contract on the open market and the Dallas Mavericks have appeared unwilling to offer that significant of a contract.

Parsons had injury issues in each of his two seasons with the Mavericks after leaving the Houston Rockets in 2014.

The Grizzlies face serious competition for Conley from the Mavericks.

Mavericks Targeting Hassan Whiteside, Mike Conley As Top Priorities

Jun 23, 2016 5:02 PM

The Dallas Mavericks expect to be granted a meeting with Hassan Whiteside in the opening hours of free agency.

The Mavericks are targeting Whiteside and Mike Conley as they attempt to remain competitive in the final seasons of Dirk Nowitzki's career.

Whiteside and Conley are both expected to command maximum contracts, prices that sources say the Mavs are prepared to pay.

The Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs are among the teams that would interest Conley. Conley's interest in the Mavericks is in large part due to his respect for Rick Carlisle.
