The Memphis Grizzlies have been rather open with their intent to select Ja Morant at No. 2, but they have been sending mixed signals of late.

The Grizzlies have requested a private workout with RJ Barrett, but he has declined the invitation so far. Barrett could revisit the possibility over the next three weeks.

Barrett will work out for the New York Knicks, who select No. 3 overall, on June 10.

Ja Morant has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Nike.

Morant is the projected second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Morant played collegiately at Murray State.

Milwaukee Bucks assistant Taylor Jenkins interviewed for the Memphis Grizzlies' head coaching vacancy.

Jenkins, who joined Mike Budenholzer's staff last June, has previously coached the Spurs' G League team.

The Grizzlies have also been in contact with Jarron Collins, Adrian Griffin, Sarunas Jasikevicius, Alex Jensen, Igor Kokoskov and Nate Tibbetts during their coaching search. 

The Memphis Grizzlies recently interviewed Adrian Griffin for their head coaching vacancy.

Griffin is currently an assistant coach with the Toronto Raptors.

Griffin was previously an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Orlando Magic and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been granted permission by the Portland Trail Blazers to interview Nate Tibbetts for their head coaching job.

Tibbetts has been an assistant coach with the Blazers since 2013 and has been a candidate for other head coaching jobs.

The Grizzlies are looking for a replacement for J.B. Bickerstaff.

Igor Kokoskov has recently interviewed for the head coaching vacancy with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Kokokov was fired by the Phoenix Suns after one season as head coach.

The Grizzlies' head coaching search has been slow to materialize. 

Ja Morant met with the New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies and New York Knicks at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.

The Pelicans, Grizzlies and Knicks own the top-3 picks in that order.

Morant is widely expected to be selected by the Grizzlies at No. 2.

Zion Williamson met with both the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies while in Chicago.

Williamson had a positive meeting with the Pelicans.

Prior to the lottery, Williamson cited the Pelicans as a targeted team to begin his NBA career with.

The Memphis Grizzlies reportedly intend on selecting Ja Morant with their second pick in the 2019 NBA draft, provided that he is available.

Sources say that members of their front office has been vocal about selecting Morant.

Current Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley has 2 years remaining on his 5-year, $140 million contract. 

The Utah Jazz are expected to pick up their pursuit of a trade for Mike Conley Jr. this offseason.

The Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies discussed a Conley trade before the deadline.

The Grizzlies are currently slotted to select No. 2 overall in next month's draft with Ja Morant widely considered the second best prospect in the draft.

The Grizzlies owe a first round pick to the Boston Celtics (top-6 protected in 2020 and unprotected in 2021).

Ricky Rubio is a free agent this offseason, putting the Jazz on the market for a point guard.
