Draymond Green, Bradley Beal Ejected Following Scuffle

Oct 28, 2017 12:11 AM

Draymond Green and Bradley Beal were both ejected from Friday night's game shortly before halftime.

Beal slapped Green in the face from behind, which led Green to grab Beal. The two remained locked as the scuffle spilled into the baseline.

Green had received a technical foul earlier in the game.

Green spoke with ESPN about the incident while the game was still in progress.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do if someone hits you twice. Man, you're taught as a kid not to allow that. What was I supposed to do?

Green was asked if there's history with Bea.

"There's history with me and the NBA. That's the only reason I can think of why I was ejected."

Bradley Beal: I Feel Like Wizards Are Best Team In Eastern Conference

Oct 3, 2017 11:07 AM

The Washington Wizards are entering the 17-18 season with a lot of confidence

"I feel like we're the best team in the East, I really do," Bradley Beal said. "That's how we feel coming into the season."

"There's a confidence to our team," Scott Brooks said. "But we still have to get better."

The Wizards were eliminated by the Boston Celtics in the second round of the playoffs last season in a seven-game series. While Boston and the Cleveland Cavaliers have had significant changes to their roster, the Wizards return mostly their entire team.

"I admire [general manager] Ernie [Grunfeld] and [owner] Ted Leonsis for their loyalty and trust in us," Beal said. "They've taken care of us. Now they expect big things from us too, and we put that same pressure on ourselves."
