John Wall Out At Least Two Weeks With Knee Injury

Nov 25, 2017 2:31 PM

John Wall will miss several weeks with a knee injury.

The Washington Wizards announced Wall has undergone an MRI exam on his sore left knee and determined that he must receive platelet-rich plasma and viscosupplementation injections to reduce the inflammation.

Wall could be out the next seven games and possibly return on Dec. 9.

Wall initially reported swelling on Nov. 11, his left knee inflammation began after “knee-to-knee contact” during a Nov. 7 game against the Mavericks.

In May 2016, Parker performed the procedure to remove calcific deposits in his left patella tendon when Wall had played the previous season in pain.

John Wall: Wizards Give Cavs 'Best Matchup'

Nov 3, 2017 6:30 PM

John Wall believes the Washington Wizards pose the most difficult threat to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference.

"It's playoff style," Beal said of Friday night's game. "That's one of the best teams to be assembled. You've got LeBron, been in the Finals the last seven times. You know, so there's always hype behind it. And you always bring your A game when you're playing against the best. So that's kind of how we go back and forth. We know we can challenge them, and they know they challenge us. It's always a good matchup. We love it. We embrace it."

Wall said the Wizards have the Cavs' respect and that they gave them "the best matchup."
