Jamison Won't Re-Sign With Cleveland

Apr 26, 2012 10:28 AM

Antawn Jamison confirmed he will not be returning to the Cavaliers next season.

"I understand the importance of Tristan (Thompson) and these younger guys getting the opportunity to play," Jamison said. "I’ve taught them so much and it’s been fun teaching them, but it’s time for me to move on as well. I don’t know what the future holds, I don’t know what opportunity might present itself, but I definitely have a great feeling this is probably my last home game and (Thursday) will be my last game as a Cav."

Jamison will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Hudson Sought More Guaranteed Money From Cleveland's Contract Offer

Apr 21, 2012 12:00 PM

Lester Hudson left the Cavaliers and signed with the Grizzlies this week following the expiration of his second 10-day contract.

Sources say Hudson didn't want to sign Cleveland's offer of a contract with a team option for 12-13 without more guaranteed money.

Teams are increasingly seeking two-year deals where the second-year is not fully guaranteed because it also becomes a trade chip.

Scott Sees 'Linsanity' In Lester Hudson

Apr 11, 2012 12:38 PM

Lester Hudson scored 25 points in Cleveland's 103-90 victory over the Bobcats on Tuesday.

Hudson also scored 23 points on Friday against the Raptors and 26 on Sunday at New Jersey.

"The young man's playing great basketball, and he's doing it all in the system, which is great," Scott said. "He's not taking bad shots or anything. He's not forcing anything. He's doing an excellent job on the defensive end as far as rebounding for a guard. He's really getting in there and helping out our bigs. But, obviously, tonight again he got it going offensively and made the best of the situation."

Hudson is having a similar impact as Jeremy Lin did for the Knicks in February.

"The Linsanity thing I thought was similar to what's going on right now with Lester," Scott said when asked to name another player who had this kind of impact. "I think he's just playing great basketball."

Hudson signed a second 10-day contract on Monday.
