Since the Portland Trail Blazers were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by a depleted Denver Nuggets team, there has been speculation about the future of Damian Lillard.

Lillard enters the season, however, with "faith" that the Blazers are going in the right direction.

"I think over the years we've always had a competitive team, I think we'll be competitive again," Lillard said Monday at the team's media day. "Obviously, at the end of last season I wanted to see our roster improve. I wanted us to have a better chance to win. And we had our conversations throughout the summer about what that looked like, and how we could take steps in that direction. I come into this season with faith that that's going to happen."

While the Blazers 

"We've established so much as a team and as an organization, we don't want to just go do something to just to say, 'I made a change,'" Lillard said. "You want it to be in line with something that could actually make us better, something that could send us to the level that we're trying to get to. We've done some things that I like. I didn't expect us to go out there and get Kevin Durant of the sudden."

The Portland Trail Blazers have re-signed Keljin Blevins to a Two-Way contract. Blevins played season with the Blazers as a Two-Way player.

After going undrafted out of Montana State in 2019, Blevins spent training camp with the Trail Blazers. He then played for the Northern Arizona Suns in the G League in 2019-20.

Blevins spent the entirety of the 2020-21 season with Portland. The 6'6'' wing appeared in 17 NBA games. As Portland does not have a G League affiliate, Blevins did not take part in the G League bubble.

Blevins is a cousin of Trail Blazers star guard Damian Lillard.

Quinn Cook has agreed to a non-guaranteed deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Cook spent last season with the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers. 

Cook went undrafted in 2015 out of Duke and had begun to establish himself in the NBA during his two seasons with the Golden State Warriors.

Patrick Patterson has agreed to a camp deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Patterson played for the Los Angeles Clippers over the past two seasons.

Marquesse Chriss has agreed to a non-guaranteed contract with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Chriss has fully recovered from his broken leg suffered last December and will compete for a roster spot in camp with the Blazers. 

Chriss spent the past two seasons with the Golden state Warriors. 

Dennis Smith Jr. has signed a camp deal with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Smith played in 23 games last season with the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons, averaging 6.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 18.3 minutes.

Smith was the ninth overall pick in the 2017 draft out of NC State by the Dallas Mavericks and was traded to the Knicks as part of the Kristaps Porzingis trade in 2019. 

The Blazers have 13 guaranteed roster spots currently.
