The Detroit Pistons have converted Jamorko Pickett to a Two-Way contract. Pickett had originally signed a non-guaranteed training camp deal with Detroit.
The 6'8'' Pickett went undrafted out of Georgetown at the 2021 NBA Draft. He then played in Summer League for the Pistons before signing his original deal. He averaged 9.8 points on 54.5% shooting in Las Vegas.
Pickett was a four-year starter for the Hoyas. As a senior, he averaged 12.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
The forward now fills the Two-Way spot that was opened when Detroit converted Luka Garza from his Two-Way deal to a standard contract. Pickett joins Chris Smith as the Pistons Two-Way players this season.
Luka Garza has agreed to a two-year contract with the Detroit Pistons.
The Pistons selected Garza with the No. 52 pick and initially signed him to a Two-Way deal.
The Detroit Pistons will sign Derrick Walton Jr. to an exhibit 10 contract.
Walton appeared in three games with the Pistons during the 19-20 season.
Walton went undrafted in 2017 out of Michigan.
The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to trade DeAndre Jordan, four future second round picks and $5.78 million to the Detroit Pistons for Jahlil Okafor and Sekou Doumbouya.
The Nets will save approximately $47 million in salary and luxury tax payments with the deal.
Detroit plans to work on a buyout with Jordan on the $20 million remaining over the final two seasons of his deal.
