Norm Powell is expected to make his return to the Los Angeles Clippers lineup during their road trip this week, according to Law Murray of The Athletic.

The Clippers have two away games against the Grizzlies and an away game against the Pelicans coming up.

Powell has been out since March 2 due to a shoulder injury.

Nic Batum will start for the Los Angeles Clippers at power forward, confirmed Ty Lue.

Batum is set to replace Marcus Morris in the lineup. 

Batum hit eight 3s on Monday in his new role, playing 31 minutes.

Paul George avoided torn ligaments in his right knee and is not expected to require surgery.

George will remain out at least 2-3 weeks due to the sprained right knee. 

"I think we got the best case scenario as far as what we thought it could be. And so, being reevaluated in two, three weeks is something that we are looking forward to," said Ty Lue on Thursday.

Should the Clippers make the playoffs, George's potential return in the first round is considered optimistic.

Eric Gordon will start in George's place. 

Paul George has been diagnosed with a sprained right knee and will be reevaluated two to three weeks. George is not expected to return before the playoffs.

George was helped off the floor during the Los Angeles Clippers' loss on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

George is averaging 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 34.6 minutes over 56 games this season. George has played in fewer than 60 games in each of his four seasons with the Clippers. 

Paul George left the Los Angeles Clippers' 101-100 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the fourth quarter due to a right leg injury.

George suffered the injury when his knee appeared to collide with Lu Dort's knee in mid-air. George then awkwardly landed and stayed on the ground. 

Ty Lue said that George was still being evaluated after the game. 

George left the arena with his leg extended on the back of a cart. 

Norm Powell has yet to practice due to a left shoulder subluxation injury and will continue to remain out, according to Ty Lue.

"He's going to be out for a little bit longer," said Lue on Friday.

Powell, who has been out since March 2, will miss his sixth straight game against the Magic on Saturday.

Lue said that goal was to get Powell back before the end of the season so the guard could establish a rhythm.

"We just want to make sure he gets enough games in so it won't happen like it did last year when he had to come back for those last two play-in games -- he had no rhythm ... and so it really was unfair to him," added Lue.

Norm Powell will undergo treatment for his injured left shoulder and will be re-evaluated in one week.

Powell suffered a left shoulder subluxation on Thursday night against the Warriors.

The Clippers added that they will have a better timeline for Powell's return after the week of treatment.

Powell is averaging 16.6 points per game this season. 

The LA Clippers have lost four straight games and have fallen in the standings. After getting blown out in the second half by the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night, the Clippers find themselves in seventh place in the Western Conference. That currently sees LA in the Play-In Tournament.

After blowing a 12-point third quarter lead to remain winless since the All-Star break, Clippers coach Ty Lue challenged his team to be confident moving forward.

"For us, we just got to stay the course, got to be mentally tough, mentally strong, can't give in, and just got to be tougher," Lue said. "That's the bottom line. When stuff doesn't go your way, it shows you what you're made of. I'm confident that we have a good team and they have to be the same way. They've got to feel the same confidence.

"I don't care about missed shots, it's going to happen. You're going to turn the ball over some, but you can't give in and my thing is just having that toughness and that mindset that, OK, things are not going well, then let's do something about it."

LA star Paul George agreed with his coach and said the Clippers need to play with more urgency.

" These are games that we can [not] allow ourselves to slip, and these [are] the games you shoot yourself in the foot when it comes to the end of the season, and we look at where we're at and we're not happy with where we're at. So we gotta have some desperation going into these games," George said.

The Los Angeles Clippers continued their shuffling of the bottom of their roster with a pair of transactions on Wednesday. LA waived Keaton Wallace from his two-way deal. In his place, the Clippers signed Xavier Moon to a two-way contract.

Moon played in 10 NBA games with the LA Clippers last season. This year, he's appeared in 39 games with the Ontario Clippers of the G League.

Moon has averaged 19.5 points, 4.9 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game in the G League. He's shot 52.8% from the field, including 37% on 3.9 three-point attempts per game.
