The Phoenix Suns confirmed it will enact furloughs and pay cuts with its employees.
uns Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Dean Stoyer, told The Republic there is a "5-10% furlough and pay cuts across the board" in the franchise.
"(There's) serious economic downturn across the sports and entertainment industry," Stoyer told The Republic. "...Pay cuts across the board and furloughs indefinite till we see more positive environment on the horizon."
There will be 20 percent pay cuts within all departments.
The cuts follow the unveiling of a $45 million practice facility and trading for Chris Paul, who is owed $41.3 million this season and $44.2 million next season.
Earlier this summer, the Suns laid off about 30 employees on the heels of selling their G-League team, Northern Arizona Suns.

The Suns will send Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 first round pick while they will receive Paul and Abdel Nader.
Paul has two years and $85.5 million left on his contract.
Phoenix has protected the 2022 picks 1-12 in 2022, 1-10 in 2013, 1-8 in 2024 and unprotected in 2025.
The Thunder have now acquired three future first round picks and two pick swaps in dealing for and then trading away Paul.
Chris Paul will have some influence over his destination as the Oklahoma City Thunder evaluate trade opportunities. The Phoenix Suns emerged as a potential trade partner for Paul this week.
"The Thunder are going to let Chris Paul be involved in his own trade," said Brian Windhorst on his podcast.
"The Thunder will tell you they don't feel compelled to trade Chris Paul, which I'm sure is sort of quasi-true. But Chris Paul, I don't think will want to be there. In a trade situation, it's sort of a triangle. Yeah, there has to be a deal with the Thunder and the other team, but Chris Paul has to sort of green light wanting to go there. This discussion with Phoenix is just as much about the Suns having discussions with Chris Paul as it is working out a trade.
"It is my understanding that Chris has interest in Phoenix. One, it's close to his family in Los Angeles. There are some East teams that are interested. I think New York has interest. Philadelphia has interest. I believe there's been some cursory conversation between Philadelphia and Oklahoma City, but I don't get the impression there's any traction there.
"I do get the impression that Chris Paul is interested... if he can't play for a championship contender, which the Suns are not, I think he's interested in playing closer to home in L.A."
The Phoenix Suns are holding discussions with the Oklahoma City Thunder on a trade for Chris Paul.
While talks have been ongoing and gained momentum, no deal is imminent.
Paul played for Monty Williams with the New Orleans Pelicans for one season before his trade to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The NBA is currently under a transaction moratorium that will be lifted shortly before next week's draft.
