Cousins, Gay Day-To-Day Following MRIs

DeMarcous Cousins and Rudy Gay are listed as day-to-day following their injuries on Wednesday.

Both players underwent MRIs on Thursday.

Cousins has a sprained left ankle and Gay has a strained left Achilles' heel.

Both were in walking boots after their injuries.

DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay both suffered injuries during the first half of Wednesday's game against the Houston Rockets.

Cousins was diagnosed with a sprained left ankle on Thursday and is currently listed as day-to-day by the Kings.

An MRI examination on Gay was negative and he is also listed as day-to-day with a left Achilles strain.

Gay has played well since being traded to the Kings and tied a career-high of 41 points in the Kings' win on Tuesday over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Gay has a $19.317 million player option on his contract for the 14-15 season and is eligible to negotiate an extension.

Gay has a True Shooting Percentage of .617 during the month of January.

Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer payment system introduced in 2009.

Bitcoin is most frequently used by speculators at this point due to the uncertainty of its future as a usable form of currency.

The Kings are run by software developer Vivek Ranadive.

Carmelo Anthony and DeMarcus Cousins have been named NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Jan. 6, through Sunday, Jan. 12.

Anthony led the New York Knicks to a 3-0 week which included wins over the Detroit Pistons, Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers. He ranked second in the conference in scoring (27.0 ppg) and steals (2.33 spg) and third in minutes (39.2 mpg).

Cousins helped the Sacramento Kings to a 3-0 week which included wins over the Portland Trail Blazers, Orlando Magic and Cleveland Cavaliers. He ranked seventh in the conference in scoring (25.0 ppg), second in rebounding (12.7 rpg) and eighth in minutes (37.2 mpg).

The Sacramento Kings re-assigned Ray McCallum to the Reno Bighorns on Sunday, the team's NBA Development League affiliate.

This is McCallum’s second assignment with the Bighorns. In his first stint, McCallum averaged 22.0 points (.455 FG%, .308 3pt%, .667 FT%), 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.33 steals and 38.0 minutes per game in three contests. McCallum was assigned on November 21 and then recalled on November 27.
