Tinsley's Meeting With Heat Canceled

Jul 31, 2009 9:07 PM

A scheduled meeting between Jamaal Tinsley and the Miami Heat has been canceled.

Agent Raymond Brothers declined to give a reason but said, "canceling the meeting had nothing to do with Jamaal Tinsley."

He did not rule out the possibility of conversations with Miami being revived. On Thursday, Brothers said Riley and Tinsley were scheduled to meet, and that Tinsley had interest in signing with the Heat.

Boozer Asked To Stop Commenting On Trades

Jul 29, 2009 4:11 PM

After being very vocal about potential trade scenarios, Carlos Boozer has been asked to keep his lips sealed.

"I can't speak about it anymore," Boozer told The Deseret News. "I was asked to let my agent and the Jazz take care of the situation and I'm gonna leave it at that. I'll let them take care of it and you guys will probably hear something before I do."

Earlier this week, Boozer made comments on a radio show in Florida indicating that he couldn't see himself playing in Utah this coming season.

In addition, Boozer has made it known that he'd like to play for the Heat. He keeps an offseason home in Miami.

Boozer Can't See Himself Staying In Utah

Jul 28, 2009 3:43 PM

Carlos Boozer admitted in a radio interview on Monday that he can't see himself playing for the Jazz next season.

"Um, no," Boozer told a Miami-area radio station.

Boozer also commented on the possibility of playing alongside Dwyane Wade with the Heat.

"We're in our prime right now," he said. "I tell you one thing, it would be a hell of a combo."

He made it obvious that he'd prefer a trade to Miami, but says that he won't pressure Utah into anything.

"That's not my style. It's not me and what we do," he said. "They're in control of that situation.

"Obviously, they'll handle it in the best way that they can. They'll keep me and my agent abroad and just see what happens, but I'm staying out of it. My agent's staying out of it for the most part. We're letting (Jazz general manager) Kevin O'Connor and the Utah Jazz take care of the stituation."

Source: Resolution Coming Soon For Odom

Jul 27, 2009 4:20 PM

A source with knowledge of the talks believes that an end to Lamar Odom's free agency saga is nearing.

As of Monday, Odom was considering a significantly reduced offer from the Lakers or one of multiple proposals from the Heat.

Miami is reportedly eager to sign Odom, and has offered him as much as a team that is well over the salary cap can: $34 million over five years with an opt-out clause after the fourth season.

One source claims that even though the Lakers have lowered their initial three-year, $27 million offer, Odom would prefer to remain to Los Angeles.

Both Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade have publicly stated how much they'll like to have Odom as a teammate.

The Heat reportedly have a five-year, $34 million offer on the table for the forward.
