The Miami Heat have agreed to sign Mario Chalmers to a 10-day hardship contract.

Chalmers last played in the NBA in 2018 with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Chalmers spent eight of his nine NBA seasons with the Heat. 

The Miami Heat will sign Nik Stauskas to a 10-day hardship exception deal.

Stauskas was with the Denver Nuggets in the preseason. Stauskas previously agreed to sign with the Toronto Raptors on a 10-day, but was unable to join the team due to health and safety issues. 

Stauskas last played in the NBA during the 18-19 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Portland Trail Blazers.

The Miami Heat will sign Haywood Highsmith to a 10-day hardship contract.

Highsmith has been playing in the G League and averaging 14.0 points per game. 

The Miami Heat have agreed to sign Aric Holman to a 10-day hardship deal.

Holman plays for the Austin Spurs and his proximity to San Antonio allows the Heat to avoid a postponement for Wednesday's game. 

The Miami Heat are set to sign Kyle Guy to a 10-Day contract via the hardship exception. Miami is currently down several players to injuries and the health and safety protocols.

Guy spent the last two seasons with the Sacramento Kings on Two-Way contracts. This year, the six-foot-one guard has played for the Cleveland Charge of the G League. In 11 games (10 starts), Guy has averaged 21.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.

Miami Heat guard Kyle Lowry has entered the NBA's health and safety protocols. The veteran guard will be out 10 days, unless he can produce two negative tests at least 24 hours apart.

The NBA and NBPA are negotiating to lower the time a player is out from 10 to six days, if the player is vaccinated and asymptomatic.

Lowry has been one of the healthier members of the Heat this season. The 15-year veteran has missed only two games, while several other Miami starters and rotation players have missed considerable time.

The Miami Heat have agreed to sign Zylan Cheatham to a 10-day hardship contract.

Cheatham is averaging 14.2 points and 10.4 rebounds in 30.6 minutes per game in the G League for the Birmingham Squadron. 

Caleb Martin has become a key rotation player for the Miami Heat, despite being on a Two-Way contract. Prior to Saturday's game against the Chicago Bulls, Martin had played in 23 of Miami's first 25 games, including two starts.

Now, Martin has joined a seemingly ever-increasing list of players in the NBA's health and safety protocols.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said he didn't have a lot of information, as the team was informed shortly before their win over the Bulls that Martin would be out. If Martin tested positive, he'll miss a minimum of 10 days, or until he can return two negative tests 24-hours apart.

Martin joins the injured Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, Markieff Morris and Victor Oladipo as players who are out for the Heat.

Martin's status as a Two-Way player means he is only eligible to be active for up to 50 games for Miami. As his role has increased, that game-limit has become an increasing concern. The Heat do have an open roster, but have been prioritizing flexibility under the hard cap.

Bam Adebayo underwent successful surgery on Monday to repair a torn Ulnar Collateral Ligament in his right thumb. The surgery was performed by Dr. Steven Shin at the Kerlan-Jobe Surgery Center in Los Angeles. He is expected to miss four-to-six weeks.

Adebayo has started in all 18 games he has appeared in this season with the HEAT and averaged 18.7 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.11 steals and 32.9 minutes while shooting 51.9 percent from the field.

Bam Adebayo has suffered a torn Ulnar Collateral Ligament in his right thumb during Monday's game and will undergo surgery. 

Adebayo's timeline for return will be determined following the surgery.

Adebayo is averaging 18.7 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 18 games this season for the Miami Heat.
