Heat Could Replace PJ Tucker With Jae Crowder, TJ Warren

Jun 29, 2022 1:35 AM

The Miami Heat are expected to offer PJ Tucker a three-year, $27 million contract, sources told Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Tucker is believed to be pushing for a three-year deal worth $33 million, which would use the Heat's mid-level exception.

Tucker has most notably been linked with the Sixers this offseason.

Should the Heat lose Tucker, they would reportedly turn their attention on trading for Jae Crowder or signing TJ Warren in free agency.

Kyrie Irving Has Lakers, Clippers, Heat, Mavs, Knicks, 76ers On List If Deal With Nets Can't Be Reached

Jun 23, 2022 4:26 PM

Kyrie Irving has the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers on his list of teams he would consider joining if he's unable to agree to terms on a contract with the Brooklyn Nets.

Irving and the Nets have been at an impasse for several weeks as the franchise has so far been unwilling to sign him to a long-term deal.

All of the teams on Irving's list currently lack cap space to sign him to a max deal outright, which would mean Brooklyn would likely have to participate in a deal.

Heat Interested In Kyrie Irving Should Nets Consider Trading Him

Jun 22, 2022 6:06 PM

The Miami Heat have "some level of interest" in acquiring Kyrie Irving should the Brooklyn Nets reach the point of actively trying to trade him.

The Heat have more trade assets available to them than the other teams linked to Irving in the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks.

Jimmy Butler said in 2017 that Irving was his favorite player in the NBA.

Irving and the Nets have reached an impasse in their discussions over their future partnership.

Duncan Robinson On Lack Of Playing Time: It Sucks In A Lot Of Ways

Jun 8, 2022 9:18 AM

Duncan Robinson knows playing time with the Miami Heat is earned, not given. But that didn't take the sting out of being largely removed from Miami's rotation late in the season.

When asked about it not feeling good to go from being a starter to barely playing, Robinson was candid in his response.

“It does not if you’re playing JV basketball, if you’re playing middle school, if you’re playing college basketball, if you in the NBA, the highest level...Not playing, it sucks in a lot of ways," Robinson said.

Robinson also said he's focused on being a professional, a good teammate and controlling what he can control.

“Some of what’s happening to me is outside of my control. What I can control is how I respond to it," Robinson said. "How I choose to embrace these challenges... in a team setting, not necessarily to the masses.”
