Josh Jackson Signs With Raptors

The Toronto Raptors have signed forward Josh Jackson. 

Jackson, 6-foot-8, 207 pounds, averaged 6.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 16.3 minutes in 51 games (three starts) last season with Detroit and Sacramento. He shot 40 percent (120-300) from the field and scored in double figures 13 times, highlighted by a season-best 24 points (9-13 FG, 5-7 3PT, 1-1 FT) Jan. 3 at Milwaukee.

A native of San Diego, California, Jackson was picked fourth overall by Phoenix in the 2017 NBA Draft. He holds career averages of 11.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 23.1 minutes in 291 games (92 starts) with Phoenix, Memphis, Detroit and Sacramento. Through five NBA seasons, he is shooting .416 (1222-2939) from the floor and has recorded nine double-doubles.

Svi Mykhailiuk Waived By Raptors

The Toronto Raptors have waived Svi Mykhailiuk. Toronto will take on $1,878,720 in dead money for the 2022-23 season if Mykhailiuk is not claimed off waivers.

Mykhailiuk appeared in 56 games in his lone season with the Raptors. He averaged 4.5 points in 12.8 minutes per game.

In addition to Toronto, Mykhailiuk has played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder during his four-year NBA career. For his career, Mykhailiuk has averaged 6.6 points per game on 35.3% three-point shooting.

Raptors Sign Christian Koloko To Multi-Year Deal

The Toronto Raptors announced Friday they have signed Christian Koloko to a multi-year contract.

Koloko, 7-foot-1, 230 pounds, was picked 33rd overall by the Raptors in the 2022 NBA Draft. He started in all five games at the NBA 2022 2K23 Summer League averaging 7.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, a team-high 2.2 blocks, 1.8 steals and 22.0 minutes.

During three seasons at the University of Arizona, he averaged 7.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 17.9 minutes in 91 career games (56 starts) with the Wildcats. He shot 59 percent (262-439) from the field and left Arizona ranked fifth in school history with 162 career blocks.

Raptors Tender Qualifying Offer To Newly Reinstated Jalen Harris

The Toronto Raptors have tendered a qualifying offer to recently reinstated Jalen Harris. Harris is now a restricted free agent.

Harris was with Toronto on a Two-Way contract during the 2020-21 season. Following that season, Harris was handed a one-year suspension for violating the NBA/NBPA joint drug policy. Harris was reinstated by the NBA and NBPA in mid-August.

In his one season with the Raptors, Harris saw limited NBA action. During the G League bubble, Harris averaged 17.6 points and shot 46% from the field, including 50% for Raptors 905.

Jalen Harris Reinstated By NBA, NBPA

The NBA and National Basketball Players Association have granted the application of Jalen Harris to be reinstated as an NBA player. 

Pursuant to the CBA, on July 1, 2021, Harris had been dismissed and disqualified from the league for one year for testing positive for a prohibited substance under the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program.

Harris was the 59th overall pick in the 2021 draft by the Toronto Raptors. Harris played 13 games with the Raptors in 20-21, averaging 7.4 points in 13.2 minutes.

Harris signed with the Scarborough Shooting Stars in May.

The NBA informed teams on Monday that players not vaccinated against COVID-19 will remain ineligible to play games in Toronto during the 22-23 season.

The Toronto Raptors played in Tampa during the 20-21 season before returning to Canada for the 21-22 season.

Several teams held players back from traveling to games at the Raptors both due to vaccine requirements as well as mandatory testing.

Raptors Sign Gabe Brown

The Toronto Raptors have signed forward Gabe Brown. Brown went undrafted out of Michigan State at the 2022 NBA Draft.

Brown played in five Summer League games for the Oklahoma City Thunder between Las Vegas and the California Classic. In 18.4 minutes per game, Brown averaged 8.8 points and three rebounds.

Brown was a four-year player for the Spartans. He started all 36 games as a senior. The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 11.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in his final season in college.
