 Paul Zipser has had surgery to repair a broken left foot.

The Bulls said Friday the operation was performed in his native Germany, but gave no timetable for his recovery.

Zipser averaged 4.0 points in 54 appearances before sitting out the final nine games last season.

ESPN Films and Netflix are partnering on a 10-hour documentary on Michael Jordan called "The Last Dance" that will be released in 2019.

Jordan has signed off on his participation on the project.

The film will be directed by Jason Hehir who also worked on 'The Fab Five' and 'Andre The Giant'.

The series will feature more than 500 hours of previously unseen footage of the Bulls' last title run in the 97-98 season.

When the Golden State Warriors fired Mark Jackson in 2014, they considered hiring Steve Kerr, Stan Van Gundy and Fred Hoiberg.

Hoiberg's potential interest in the Golden State job was downplayed at the time, but he had a "quick, secret and ultimately lackluster" interview.

The Warriors were zeroed in on Kerr and Van Gundy, ultimately hiring Kerr.

Hoiberg remained at Iowa State for another season before joining the Chicago Bulls.

The Chicago Bulls have granted permission to the Charlotte Hornets to interview Jim Boylen for their head coaching vacancy.

Boylen has head coaching experience in college with Utah.

Boylen served on Rudy Tomjanovich's staff during the 1990s with the Rockets. Mitch Kupchak is known to be close with Tomjanovich.

Boylen also worked with the Gregg Popovich in the past.
