The Sacramento Kings are monitoring the potential availability of Matisse Thybulle, sources told Marc Stein of Substack.

The team is reportedly looking for a defensive-minded option at the wing position.

Stein also adds that the Kings are unlikely to buy out Richaun Holmes due to contract complications. 

Monte McNair and the Sacramento Kings have agreed upon a contract extension.

McNair was entering the final months of his original three-year deal with the Kings.

The Kings are currently third in the Western Conference and are on pace to end their 16-year playoff drought.

McNair was hired by the Kings in 2020. The Kings hired McNair after 13 seasons as a front office executive with the Houston Rockets.

Teams around the league are monitoring Richaun Holmes as a potential buyout candidate, sources told Marc Stein of Substack. 

Holmes could get bought out if the Kings aren't able to trade him by the deadline.

Holmes is averaging 3.3 points and 2.2 rebounds in 9.4 minutes this season. 

The Sacramento Kings are set to sign PJ Dozier to a second 10-day deal, reported Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Dozier is averaging 1.0 points in three games for the Kings. 

Jalen Brunson and Domantas Sabonis have been named the NBA's Players of the Week for Week 13.

Brunson averaged 34.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists as the New York Knicks went 3-1.

Sabonis averaged 18.5 points, 14.3 rebounds and 10.3 assists as the Sacramento Kings went 4-0. 

The NBA announced punishments from the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings on-court altercation on Friday night in Sacramento.

In the fourth quarter of the Kings victory, Garrison Mathews of the Rockets and Malik Monk of the Kings got tangled up while pursuing a loose ball. As things escalated, Mathews, Monk and Tari Eason of the Rockets were ejected from the game.

Jalen Green and Jae'Sean Tate of the Rockets left the bench area during the altercation. They have both been suspended for one game for those actions.

Matthews was fined $35,000 for initiating the altercation and taunting Monk. Monk was fined $25,000 for continuing the altercation and taunting Mathews. Eason was fined $30,000 for escalating the altercation and making inadvertent contact with a game official.

Green and Tate will both serve their suspensions during Sunday's game at the LA Clippers.

The Sacramento Kings have made Richaun Holmes available in trade talks, sources tell Jake Fischer of Yahoo.

Holmes signed a four-year, $46 million deal with the Kings during the 2021 offseason.

Mike Brown has not had Holmes in his rotation this season. Holmes has appeared in 26 games, averaging 2.7 points and 2.0 rebounds in 9.0 minutes. 

The Sacrament Kings signed PJ Dozier to a 10-day deal, his agent told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Dozier appeared in 18 games for the Nuggets last season. 

The Sacramento Kings guaranteed Matthew Dellavedova's contract for the rest of the season, sources told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Dellavedova is averaging 1.2 points in 6.7 minutes this season. 

Paolo Banchero and Keegan Murray have been named the NBA's Rookies of the Month for December.

Banchero averaged 19.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists for the Orlando Magic.

Murray averaged 12.7 points and 3.5 rebounds for the Sacramento Kings.
