Ricky Rubio Likely Out 10 Days With Left Hamstring Strain

Apr 29, 2018 12:00 AM

Ricky Rubio could miss 10 days with his left hamstring strain.

Rubio exited in the first half of Utah's Game 6 victory over the Thunder.

There is some hope within the Jazz organization that Rubio's injury could be reevaluated and he could return sooner.

Rubio underwent an MRI on Saturday.

Rubio had dealt with soreness in his left hamstring in early April, causing him to miss a few games late in the season.

Donovan Mitchell: The Strength Of Our Team Is The Strength Of Our Team

Apr 24, 2018 1:01 PM

Russell Westbrook turned Oklahoma City's first round matchup against the Jazz personal with his comments after Game 3 that Ricky Rubio wouldn't replicate his offensive output.

Westbrook was aggressive on defense and ultimately was limited by foul trouble.

The Jazz attempted to keep their play team-oriented.

"We just stayed within ourselves," Donovan Mitchell said. "We always say the strength of our team is the strength of our team. I said this morning we're not really worried about one individual comment. I think if we get caught up in that it takes us out of our own game, and our play showed tonight that we really just focused on each other and made the right plays when we needed to."

Donovan Mitchell's MRI On Left Foot Negative, Will Play Game 2

Apr 16, 2018 10:03 AM

Donovan Mitchell underwent an MRI on his left foot following Utah's Game 1 loss to the Thunder.

Results on Mitchell's MRI were negative and he'll play in Game 2.

Mitchell left Sunday's Game 1 in the fourth quarter to get an X-ray on the foot before returning and playing through some apparent pain.

"I just stubbed my toe," Mitchell said. "Nothing major."

Quin Snyder said all signs point to Mitchell being ready for Game 2 on Wednesday.

"The doctors cleared him, so I put him back in the game, but when I saw him, it looked to me that he was feeling it a little bit and just wanted to make sure, so I took him out and just confirmed it," Snyder said. "And then he went back. Everything that we know right now, he's fine. I'm sure he'll undergo further imaging, and we'll update that tomorrow."
