Pacers, Grizzlies Linked With Pursuit Of Miles Bridges

Jun 29, 2022 8:05 AM

The Indiana Pacers and Memphis Grizzlies have been linked to a pursuit of Miles Bridges in restricted free agency.

The Pacers have considered a run for Bridges, sources tell Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report. It is unclear, however, whether the Pacers are actually prepared to add an expensive contract as the rebuild. The Pacers have historically eschewed pursuing restricted free agents, but they did acquire Malcolm Brogdon in a sign-and-trade in 2019.

Executives also say that the Grizzlies are a "sleeper candidate" for Bridges. Bridges played collegiately at Michigan State with Jaren Jackson Jr. League figures with knowledge of the situation have shot down the rumored interest of the Grizzlies.

The Hornets have signaled they're prepared to match any offer sheet for Bridges.

Wizards Discuss Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope In Potential Deal For Malcolm Brogdon

Jun 23, 2022 1:51 AM

The Washington Wizards and New York Knicks have "consistently discussed" deals for Malcolm Brogdon, sources told Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

There is skepticism that Brogdon will be traded in a deal centered around either the Wizards' No. 10 pick or the Knicks' No. 11 selection in the upcoming draft.

The Wizards instead have been willing to discuss trades involving Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

The Knicks, meanwhile, are open to exploring options surrounding Alec Burks, Evan Fournier, Nerlens Noel, Kemba Walker and Cam Reddish.

Fischer adds that the Knicks' first option is to acquire Jalen Brunson.

Pacers Seriously Talking Malcolm Brogdon, Myles Turner Trades

The Charlotte Hornets have again approached the Pacers about Myles Turner. Turner has been linked to Charlotte for the past few years as a potential trade target.

Pacers In Trade Discussions For Malcom Brogdon, Myles Turner

Jun 14, 2022 11:45 AM

The Indiana Pacers began their rebuilding process at the trade deadline when they sent Domantas Sabonis to the Sacramento Kings for Tyrese Haliburton. Now, Indiana is expected to continue that into the offseason.

The Pacers are looking to acquire additional draft picks in the 2022 NBA Draft. That has them engaged in trade talks for veterans Myles Turner and Malcolm Brogdon.

Turner has been rumored target of the Charlotte Hornets, Toronto Raptors and New York Knicks. The Knicks are expected to be a suitor for Brogdon, assuming they can't sign or give up on signing Jalen Brunson in free agency.

Myles Turner Likely To Stay With Pacers

Jun 8, 2022 9:01 AM

The Indiana Pacers started the rebuilding process at last season's trade deadline. The Pacers traded away Domantas Sabonis and broke up the pairing of he and Myles Turner.

Now, Indiana is likely to keep Turner, as they look to get back into playoff contention this year. Turner has one season left on his contract at $18 million. He's been continually in trade rumors, but it seems as if the Pacers intend to keep him. Turner is seen as a good fit with Tyrese Haliburton, who Indiana acquired in the Sabonis trade.

Turner is coming off back-to-back injury-plagued seasons, but he remains productive when available. He's one of the NBA's best shot-blockers and help defenders. Turner also has good shooting range for a big, which makes him playable in many lineups, including next to other big men.

Pistons, Pacers, Spurs Interested In Collin Sexton

Jun 1, 2022 12:55 PM

The Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers are considered the "biggest threats" to sign Collin Sexton away from the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to reporting from Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com.

The San Antonio Spurs also have "some Sexton fans in their front office."

The Cavaliers had a highly successful season despite losing Sexton early on with a torn meniscus.

The Cavaliers would like to sign Sexton to a contract in the $15 million to $18 million range, while his camp is seeking $18 million to $22 million per season. Cleveland is skeptical there is a team out there that will be willing to pay Sexton more than $20 million per season.
