Arnett Moultrie has been suspended five games for violating the terms of the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program.

Moultrie will also be ineligible to play for the Delaware 87ers during the period of his suspension.

Moultrie has appeared in just 12 games this season for the Philadelphia 76ers,

The Philadelphia 76ers have signed James Nunnally to a second 10-day contract.

Nunnally has signed two 10-day deals each with the 76ers and Atlanta Hawks this season.

Nunnally has averaged 3.2 points and 1.4 rebounds in nine games.

The Philadelphia 76ers have signed guard Casper Ware to a 10-day contract.

Since graduating from Long Beach State in 2012, Ware has played in Italy. He spent the 2012-13 season with A.S. Junior Casale and was named MVP of Legadue Basket. This season, Ware played for Virtus Bologna of Lega Basket Serie A.

Brett Brown discussed his draft strategy on Thursday and the path he believes he would take if he were in charge of deciding on the Philadelphia 76ers' upcoming lottery pick.

“I’m a best-player guy, then you figure it out,” Brown said. “Who knows? Everybody’s got different opinions. My opinion is you take the very best player and you figure it out.”

Brown understands Sam Hinkie and the 76ers' front office could instead draft based on need. The 76ers appear set at point guard and center, with Michael Carter-Williams and Nerlens Noel respectively.

“Best player, and you let them coexist. You figure it out. I think that’s normally the mindset,” Brown said. “If you get good people, it’ll all play out fine. My opinion, and that’s just Brett Brown speaking — I haven’t had any consultation with Sam or his staff, just my opinion — is you take the best player.”

D-League forward James Nunnally will sign a 10-day contract with the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, league sources told RealGM.

Nunnally, who has averaged 18.1 points and 4.5 rebounds with the Bakersfield Jam and Texas Legends this season, worked out for the 76ers on Tuesday.

A 6-foot-7 wing shooter, Nunnally earned two 10-day contracts with the Atlanta Hawks in January. He scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 54 minutes of action with the Hawks.

Nunnally played four collegiate seasons at UC Santa Barbara.

The 76ers are 15-51, losers of 20 consecutive games, and have intended to use their 15th roster spot as a tryout opportunity for young players.

The Philadelphia 76ers have assigned forward Arnett Moultrie to the Delaware 87ers of the NBA Development League, the team announced on Saturday.

This marks Moultrie’s second assignment to Delaware.

Brown has shifted between the 76ers and the D-League this season, even appearing in games for both teams on the same day.

Darius Johnson-Odom plans to sign a 10-day contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, according to sources.

Johnson-Odom has played with Springfield of the D-League this season.

Johnson-Odom worked out with the 76ers on Tuesday.

The Philadelphia 76ers have signed Jarvis Varnado for the remainder of the season.

The 76ers have a team option for Varnado for next season that contains some guaranteed money.
