The Philadelphia 76ers continue to wait on signing first round picks Michael Carter-Williams and Nerlens Noel to rookie contracts.

When the new Philadelphia 76ers ownership took form, it stated an openness with fans. Sam Hinkie plans to be more open about his personnel decisions but understands the organization must find a common balance.
"I can't speak to what happened before I got here," Hinkie said, "but going forward I see coach Brown and I to be open about all the decisions we make - the trades and the acquisitions and how we see things unfolding and what parts we're excited about. I don't think we will ever be a team that talks about the very next thing we're going to do. That is giving an advantage to the other 29 competing teams.
"We have to find the right balance there for the organization and keeping the fans informed."
The 76ers have not revealed much since Hinkie took over, not even announcing who they worked out during the NBA draft process.
The Delaware 87ers, D-League team for the Philadelphia 76ers, have acquired the rights to 16 players via the NBA D-League Expansion Draft.
Josh Akognon, Chris Cooper, Jerome Dyson, Kyle Fogg, Jeremy Green, Frank Hassell, Darington Hobson, Leo Lyons, Ramone Moore, Hamady N'Diaye, Reeves Nelson, Jerome Randle, Ish Smith, Willie Warren, Tyler Wilkerson and Sean Williams have been assigned to the 87ers.
Earl Barron is receiving interest from the New York Knicks, Indiana Pacers, New Orleans Pelicans and Philadelphia 76ers.

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to hire Lloyd Pierce as an assistant coach.
Pierce was most recently an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Pierce will report to Brett Brown. Pierce was a head coaching candidate for the 76ers as well.
The Memphis Grizzlies have traded Tony Wroten to the Philadelphia 76ers for a future second round draft pick, according to a source.
Wroten averaged 2.6 points and 1.2 assists in 35 games as a rookie last season.
Wroten, 20, was selected No. 25 by the Grizzlies in the 2012 NBA draft.
Allen Iverson will officially announce his retirement from basketball in the coming days, according to a report citing a source close to him.
Iverson, 38, played his last professional basketball in Turkey in 2011. Before that, he appeared in his final NBA game, as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, in 2010.
Iverson became one of the best guards in the history of the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers -- especially given his size -- and won the NBA MVP award in 2001.
“He might be the greatest athlete I’ve ever seen,” said Larry Brown, Iverson’s coach from 1997-2003 and the current coach at SMU. “I don’t think there’ll be another one like him.
“I’m sure we faced a lot of obstacles, maybe even on a daily basis, but when it came time to play, to try to win a game, he tried to play as hard as he could for his coach.”
Evan Turner has been in trade speculation but does not want to allow the rumors to affect him.
"I just don’t want to let these type of situations deter the fun I have with the game," Turner said on Saturday.
Turner averaged 13.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists last season.
Turner was the second overall pick by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2010 NBA draft.
The Philadephia 76ers parted ways with Michael Curry, Aaron McKie and Jeff Capel on Friday as Brett Brown will get to start fresh with a new staff.
"I'm doing that for obvious reasons," said Brown, who was hired Monday. "I want to hire my own staff and have a clean start going in that direction. ... I feel like it's important that I come in with my own staff and start fresh and try to rebuild."
Brown declined to disclose his assistant coaching candidates, though he hopes to have those positions filled by early September.
