Stephen Curry has partnered with Under Armour to create the Curry Brand, which will launch on Dec. 1 and feature footwear, apparel and accessories.

The Curry Brand will be dedicated to giving back to the community with a commitment to invest a percentage of Curry Brand revenue in under-resourced communities. According to Under Armour, these are the initial goals of the brand: “by 2025, the Curry Brand aims to create at least 20 safe places to play, support 125 programs that impact young athletes, and deliver opportunities to train more than 15,000 coaches — making an overall impact on more than 100,000 youth.”

“We have a shared goal of unlocking play for kids, so that became a natural place for us to focus,” Curry said in the announcement. “I grew up doing a lot of things to give back to the community with my family — and continue that now — while Under Armour has done so much to support athletes around the world.

“Curry Brand is all about doing good in everything that we do,” Curry continued. “I’ve tried to embody that in my own actions, and I think it’s also something that other people can really get behind no matter where they are in life or what their goals are, sports or otherwise. We all have the ability to impact the next person and to give back in some way, and that’s more important now than ever before.”

The Golden State Warriors have agreed to sign Nico Mannion to a Two-Way contract.

The Warriors selected Mannion was the No. 48 overall pick out of Arizona.

Mannion was a projected mid-first round pick for the first half of his freshman season.

The NBA granted the Golden State Warriors a Disabled Player Exception worth $9.3 million, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The exception is due to Klay Thompson's season-ending Achilles injury. 

The exception will expire on April 19th.

Klay Thompson has undergone successful surgery to repair his torn Achilles.

Thompson is expected to make a full recovery, but he's been ruled out for the entire 20-21 season.

Thompson also missed the entire 19-20 season with a torn ACL.

Kent Bazemore has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Bazemore reportedly had interest from several teams. 

Bazemore is averaging 8.8 points and 4.3 rebounds last season. 

The Toronto Raptors are attempting to re-sign Marc Gasol, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Wojnarowski adds that the Warriors are also interested in adding Gasol.

The Raptors recently lost Serge Ibaka, who signed a two-year deal with the Clippers. 

Brad Wanamaker has agreed to sign a one-year deal worth $2.25 million with the Golden State Warriors.

Wanamaker is expected to see "significant minutes" behind Steph Curry at point guard, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Golden State Warriors have applied for the Disabled Player Exception due to Klay Thompson's season-ending injury, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The Disabled Player Exception is worth $9.3 million.

The Golden State Warriors had long targeted James Wiseman with the second overall pick and didn't let the injury to Klay Thompson shift their direction at the draft.

“I’m not going to sit here and lie to you and say that it didn’t cross our minds or my mind,” Lacob said. “(But) that would’ve been going contrary to what our plan was — the No. 1 guy on our board is the guy we drafted, James Wiseman. And I think a lot of people guessed that, the truth. It doesn’t mean that we didn’t have somebody else we liked a lot and that certainly considered very strongly. But that wasn’t our plan and we decided (Thompson’s injury) wasn’t going to change our final decision. We just needed to take the guy we really believed in because you’re also drafting not only for the short term but for the long term."

Lacob said Wiseman was always his top choice.

“To be honest with you, he was my No. 1 forever, basically,” Lacob said. “I just think he’s a once-in-a-decade kind of guy. I would argue that, other than (Joel) Embiid, I don’t know that there’s another center prospect that’s come along in the last decade that you would put in the same category. Different players, maybe. But this guy is immensely talented. …

“When you see him in person, it’s pretty compelling. And when we watched him do his workout, it’s pretty compelling. … Some of the things he does on the court for a guy his size, he’s very mobile, really good ballhandling for someone his size. Anyone who says he can’t shoot is crazy. He can shoot. He’s going to get better; he can shoot. And he’s obviously going to be a very good defender, he’s going to be a rim protector and shot blocker, so there’s a heckuva lot of things to like. And I just think he’s a great fit as well with what we needed and with our team."

The Golden State Warriors have waived Ky Bowman.

Bowman played in 45 games with the Warriors during the 19-20 season, averaging 7.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 22.9 minutes per game.
